Company settings

Configure company-wide settings such as backorders, stock alerts and your pick & pack method.

The company settings let you configure options that apply to your entire business. Think of how backorders are handled, when you receive stock alerts and how the picking process works. You can find these settings under Settings > My company.

Backorders

Here you decide whether customers are allowed to order products that are out of stock:

  • Backorders on/off: turn backorders on or off for your entire business. You can override this per sales channel or per product.

  • Backorders based on pick locations: when you enable this, an order goes to backorder if the stock is only available at a bulk location and not at a pick location.

See Backorders for more information.

Stock alerts

Set when you receive an alert if a product's stock drops below a certain threshold:

  • Type: disabled, daily (every morning at 08:00) or real-time (an immediate alert).

  • Minimum stock: the level at which an alert is sent.

You can override this setting per product. See Stock notifications for more information.

Fictitious stock

Set a default fictitious stock level for all your products. This prevents competitors from reading your actual stock figures. See Fictitious stock for more information.

Picking and packing

Configure how the picking process works:

  • Mandatory scanning: when you enable this, products must be scanned during picking.

  • Automatic processing after scan: orders are processed automatically once all products have been scanned. You can set a delay in seconds.

VAT rate

Set the default VAT rate for your business. This rate is used for calculations in reports and orders.

Require stock at a location

When you enable this, stock must always be linked to a specific warehouse location. This is handy if you work with multiple locations and always want to know exactly where a product is stored. That way a warehouse employee cannot accidentally register a product at the "unassigned" location, and is always forced to register a product correctly.
