Variant groups

Sizes, colors and quantities neatly grouped

Group the same product in different sizes, colors or quantities under one parent product. Each variant keeps its own stock, and the overview shows the combined total.

Product bundles

Combine separate products into one sales unit

Sell a gift set or combo deal as a bundle. ShopLinkr calculates the bundle stock based on the scarcest component and deducts each component as soon as the bundle is sold.

Stock sources

One source, multiple variants by weight or length

Track your base stock in kilos, meters or liters and link variants of, for example, 500 grams or 1 meter. ShopLinkr works out per variant how much is still available.

ABC analysis

See which products keep your warehouse running

ShopLinkr classifies your assortment by pick frequency over the past 90 days. That way you place your A products close to your packing station and keep your warehouse layout up to date.

Types of products

Four product types, one way of working

Not every product works the same. A bundle settles its stock against the separate components, a stock source works from a unit of measure and products with unlimited stock keep no quantities at all. ShopLinkr supports every type from the same overview.

  • Single products

The standard. Each product has its own EAN, stock and warehouse location. Suitable for most items you buy and sell individually.

  • Bundle products

Several products combined into one sales unit. The bundle stock automatically follows the scarcest component, and with every sale each component is deducted.

  • Stock source products

Track stock in a unit of measure such as weight, length or volume. From that one source you sell variants of, for example, 500 grams, 1 kilo or 3 meters.

  • Unlimited stock

For products that are always available, such as software licenses or downloads. No deduction on sale, no counting, always in stock on your channels.

Product bundles

Combine separate products into one bundle

A bundle is a new product that you assemble from products you already sell. Give the bundle its own title, price and image, and decide which components go in it and in what quantity.

Say you sell a gift set with 1 phone, 1 charger and 2 cases. ShopLinkr automatically calculates the bundle stock based on the component that is least available. Sell a case on its own? Then the bundle stock drops along with it right away.

Example: gift set

Gift set
Bundle
  • Phone × 1
    10 in stock → 10 units
  • Charger × 1
    8 in stock → 8 units
  • Case × 2
    12 in stock → 6 units
Bundle stock 6 units

The case is the limiting factor here. Each bundle needs 2 of them, so 12 cases make 6 complete bundles.

Stock sources

One source, multiple variants

Selling by weight, length or volume? Then keep a single base stock in kilos, meters or liters. ShopLinkr automatically recalculates how much of each variant is available, without you having to count each variant separately.

Say you have 100 kilos of dog kibble in a large bin. With every order you scoop the right amount from that one source, whether that is 500 grams or 5 kilos. The weight you scoop comes straight off the source stock and all variants are recalculated right away.

The same works for fabric per meter or perfume per milliliter.

Example: dog kibble

Situation Source 500 grams 1 kilo
  • Start 100 kilos 200 100
  • After selling 1× 1 kilo 99 kilos 198 99
  • After selling 1× 500 grams 98.5 kilos 197 98

With every sale the right amount comes off the source and all variants are recalculated automatically.

Unlimited stock

Products that are always available

Selling digital products such as software licenses, downloads or access codes? Then you do not need to track stock. Turn on unlimited stock and the product stays in stock on your channels at all times, with no deduction on sale and no counting.

Is your bundle made up of products that are all set to unlimited stock? Then the bundle automatically gets that status too.

Example: software license

Software license

Unlimited stock on

What your channels see

  • Shopify Always in stock
  • Woo Always in stock
  • bol Stock: 1000 fallback

Does a channel not support the "no stock tracking" setting? Then ShopLinkr automatically sends through a stock of 1000, so the product never shows up as sold out.

Ask your question

How does ShopLinkr handle variants of the same product, such as sizes or colors?

You group those products into a variant group. Each variant stays an independent product with its own EAN, stock and listing, but in the product overview you see the main product with the combined stock and the number of variants. A product can only belong to one variant group at a time.

What happens to bundle stock if I sell a single component?

Bundle stock always follows the scarcest component. If you sell a component on its own, the bundle stock drops along with it, so you never offer more bundles than you can put together. A product can appear in several bundles at once and stays sellable on its own as well.

Does ShopLinkr also work for products I sell by weight or length, such as kibble or fabric?

Yes, with stock sources. You track the base stock in kilos, meters or liters and link variants like 500 grams or 1 meter to that source. With every sale the right quantity is deducted from the source, and ShopLinkr calculates how much is still available per variant.

Does a bundle automatically get unlimited stock if all of its sub-products have it?

Yes. As soon as every sub-product in the bundle is set to unlimited stock, the bundle gets that status automatically. You don't have to set it manually. If one of the sub-products returns to normal stock, the bundle loses that status again too.

Can the same product be in several bundles at once?

Yes. A sub-product can appear in several bundles at once, and you decide per bundle how many of it go in. Each bundle works out its availability independently based on the shared stock, so the numbers always stay in balance.

Are bundles included in a stock count?

No. A bundle is derived from its sub-products and has no physical stock of its own. During a stock count you only count the individual products. The bundle stock is then automatically recalculated based on the counted quantities.

What happens if I archive a product that's in a bundle or variant group?

The product is unlinked from bundles. If it's in a variant group, ShopLinkr automatically assigns another product as the main product. If the product later comes back in through a channel, ShopLinkr restores it based on the EAN code.
