Tags let you label products and orders so you can find and filter them easily. Think of tags such as "Fragile", "Sale" or "Christmas". Each tag has a name and a color, so you recognize them at a glance.
Two types of tags
ShopLinkr has two types of tags:
-
Product tags: use these to categorize products. For example, to mark seasonal products, identify products that are being phased out, or label products that need to be packed with extra care.
-
Order tags: use these to visually distinguish orders. For example, to mark large orders, label orders that will be picked up, or recognize orders with gift wrapping.
Creating a tag
-
Go to Settings > Tags.
-
Click Add tag.
-
Enter a name (maximum 30 characters).
-
Choose a color so the tag stands out visually.
-
Select the type: product or order.
-
Click Save.
Assigning tags
You can assign tags manually to a product or order. Open the item and add the tag or tags you want. A product or order can have several tags at the same time.
Assigning tags automatically with rules
With rules you can assign tags automatically to new orders. For example, set up a rule that automatically gives every order above a certain amount the tag "Large". That way you do not have to do it by hand.
Filtering by tags
You can filter by tags on both the products page and the orders page. This is handy for quickly finding a specific group of items.
Tags in reports
When generating reports you can filter by tags. This lets you, for example, review the performance of just your seasonal products.
