Move reserved stock

It is now possible to move stock, even when it is already reserved by an order.

When moving stock, ShopLinkr follows this logic:

  1. Unreserved stock first
When you move stock, the available (unreserved) stock is always moved first. Only when that runs out is reserved stock moved.
  2. Orders are updated automatically
When reserved stock is moved to another location, the reserved location on the matching order is automatically changed to the new location. That way it stays clear where the product has to be picked.
  3. Open pick lists are updated automatically
If an order is already on a pick list and that pick list still has the status “open”, the location on the pick list is updated to the new location automatically.
  4. Active pick lists stay unchanged
When a pick list has the status “picking” or “picked”, the location is no longer changed. At that stage there is a good chance the product has already been physically taken from the location, so changing it could cause confusion.
  5. Bulk locations and backorders
When stock is moved to a bulk location and you have the setting “backorders based on pick locations” enabled, the following happens:
  • The reservation of the order is removed.
  • The order is automatically set back to backorder.

You can release these orders again afterwards, following the normal way of working.
