Roles and permissions

You can now set roles and permissions for users within ShopLinkr. This lets you decide exactly which parts of the system someone may use or view.

Every user has one role. Different permissions are attached to that role. For example, you can set that someone:

• may not update stock
• may not view customer data
• may not view financial insights

A number of roles are available by default and are already set up sensibly:

• Warehouse
• Administration
• Customer service
• Purchasing

You can fully adjust the permissions of these roles, so they match your company.

All existing users have the administrator role by default, because that matches how access worked before. You can easily change this from the settings.

This lets you shield sensitive information and important actions better, so everyone only has access to what they need.
