ABC analysis
With the new ABC analysis in ShopLinkr you see straight away which products matter most in your warehouse.
The analysis is based on the Pareto principle and looks at how often you have to walk to a product, not at how many units you pick. Walking once for one product or for a hundred products therefore both count as one pick.
Products are sorted into three categories automatically:
A products
The first 80% of all picks. This is usually around 20% of your assortment.
B products
The next 15% of the picks. Around 30% of your assortment.
C products
The last 5% of the picks. This is often around 50% of your assortment.
The analysis is recalculated automatically once a week, so your warehouse layout is always based on recent order data.
A and B labels are shown on the products page, so you can quickly decide which products deserve a strategic spot in your warehouse. The label is also shown on incoming deliveries, so you know right away which products have priority when putting stock away.
Under Reports → ABC analysis you will also find an overview of the “Movers”. There you see which products changed category, for example from B to A or from A to C.
That way you set up your warehouse more cleverly and save walking time every day.
