Follow-up shipments fully integrated into your order flow

We completely rebuilt the system around follow-up shipments.

How it used to work

Previously you could create a follow-up shipment on an order. Those follow-up shipments then appeared in a separate table on the left of your menu under “Orders”.

It was a standalone feature within ShopLinkr. As a result follow-up shipments did not run through the normal order flow. They did not end up in pick lists automatically, for example, and were processed differently from regular orders.

That created exceptions in your workflow.

What has changed

An order now has a type. At the moment there are two types:

  • Order
  • Follow-up shipment

When you create a follow-up shipment on an existing order, a new order with the type “follow-up shipment” is created automatically.

It simply appears in your regular order overview, with a clear follow-up shipment label.

What this means for you

Follow-up shipments now run fully through your standard order process:

  • They appear in your normal order list
  • They are included in pick lists
  • Stock is reserved the same way as for “normal” orders
  • They follow the same logistics flow as any other order

There are no exceptions in your workflow any more.

The result

From now on you process all your orders in one streamlined process, whether it is a regular order or a follow-up shipment.
