Archiving products

Hide products you no longer sell without deleting them permanently.

When you stop selling a product, you can archive it. The product then disappears from your regular overviews but is not deleted permanently. This keeps your product list tidy without losing any historical data.

Archiving a product

  1. Go to Products and open the product you want to archive.

  2. Click the action menu and choose Archive.

  3. Confirm the action.

What happens when you archive?

When you archive a product:

  • The product's stock is set to zero. This is recorded as a stock mutation.

  • All listings for the product on your sales channels are removed.

  • If the product is part of a bundle, it is unlinked from that bundle.

  • The product is no longer visible in the standard product overview.

Automatic archiving

ShopLinkr recognizes when a product has been removed from all of your sales channels. In that case the product is archived automatically. This means you do not have to do it manually and your product list always stays up to date.

Viewing archived products

You can find archived products by filtering the product overview on Archived. This lets you always see which products you archived earlier.

Restoring a product

Did you archive a product by accident, or do you want to start selling it again? You can restore an archived product. The product then becomes visible again in your product overview. Please note: after restoring, the stock is set to zero and you will need to set it again.

Automatic restoring

As soon as a product comes back in through a sales channel (for example because you have started selling it again), ShopLinkr recognizes this and the archived product is restored automatically. You do not have to do anything yourself for this.

Good to know

  • Archiving is not the same as deleting permanently. Your data is kept.

  • Automatic archiving and restoring works based on the product's EAN code.
