Product tags

Assigning product tags to a product in ShopLinkr

As your assortment grows, finding the right products gets harder. With product tags you attach free-form labels to your products, separate from your fixed categories, so you can sort and filter on any characteristic that matters to you.

What product tags are

A tag is a free label you define yourself: a brand, a season, a supplier, a promotion or a quality level. Unlike a product category, a single product can carry several tags at once. You could tag the same item as "winter," "outlet" and the supplier's name, all without changing your category structure.

Assigning and viewing tags

You add tags on the product page and then see them back in the product overview. The assigned tags appear right next to each item, so you can tell at a glance which characteristics belong where. If you work with bundles and variants, those stay neatly organized under the same labels too.

Filtering on tags

The real payoff is in filtering. Pick a tag and you instantly narrow down to just the products that carry that label. Useful when you want to update an entire supplier or seasonal collection quickly, run a focused stock check, or analyze a product group in your reports on revenue, margin or dead stock.

Try product tags yourself

Tags take seconds to create and save you searching every time after that. Create a free ShopLinkr account and try it free for 14 days. Want to know more about what else is possible? Browse the guides or reach out through support.
