# Archiving and restoring products

> Archiving products has been extended with new logic and extra checks.

Archiving products has been extended with new logic and extra checks.

**What is new:**

- You can now easily restore archived products (un-archive)
- When you archive a product, all bundle relations are removed automatically

**Important conditions:** a product can only be archived when:

- Its stock is zero
- The product does not appear in any open orders

**Extra behaviour:** is the product itself a bundle? Then it is unbundled automatically when archived.

**Why this matters:**\
It prevents inconsistent stock and errors in bundles. At the same time your data stays clean and logical, without archived products still affecting active processes.
